Here’s the second character playlist I mentioned: Lei from Natasha Ngan’s Girls of Paper and Fire. This playlist is a little more loosely based on Lei than Jude’s, but I still think it’s worth a listen. The youtube playlist is below. You can find the Spotify list here.
So, I’ve been listening to a lot more music than I normally do and while I was listening I realized that some of the songs I was listening to really reminded me of some of the characters in books I’ve been reading recently. I thought you all might be interested in listening to the playlists I’ve made for them. I hope you enjoy!
The first character playlist is Jude from Holly Black’s The Wicked King. This playlist basically wrote itself. Jude is a strong woman and she’s driven, too driven some may say. Honestly, I think she’s a queen even though she can be ruthless.
Note: This is a YouTube playlist. If you prefer listening on Spotify you can listen here.
The next character playlist I have is for Lei from Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan. I haven’t finished the book completely yet though so I’ll be posting it separately hopefully sometime next week.
What do you think? Was I completely off the mark? Did you enjoy the playlist? Do you have any songs you think I should add?
Hello everyone, early this week I posted about reading challenges that encourage reading diversely. This post is where I will be keeping track of my progress. I will be adding the book titles and authors of every book I read incase you’re curious or possibly need some suggestions for books to read.
Year of The Asian Reading Challenge by CW from The Quiet Pond (thequietpond.com),Lily from Sprinkles of Dreams (sprinklesofdreams.wordpress.com), Shealea, and Vicky from Vicky Who Reads (vickywhoreads.wordpress.com). This is the challenge for you, if like me, one of your goals this year is to make sure you’re reading more diversely. The goal is to read as many books by asian authors as you can. Now, there are levels to the challenge so don’t stress out if you have a ton of other reading goals or anything like that. They also come with cute icon which you can see below.
